Backup power sources serve for ensuring an interruptible supply of electricity. The basic principle is that the client’s devices are powered from the grid in normal circumstances. If a grid failure occurs, the devices are powered from backup sources, which eliminate faults in the electricity grid, such as voltage fluctuations, voltage sag, hum, voltage spikes, etc.

Backup power sources are most frequently used for powering data centres, production lines, technological processes, power-generation systems in power plants, telecommunications systems and medical devices. In short, they are used everywhere a reliable, uninterruptible supply of power is needed.

An electricity outage can have unforeseen consequences in the form of a loss of data, damaged power-supply equipment, connection failures, endangerment of lives, etc.

Therefore, it is increasingly important to take into account the assurance of a high-quality, reliable and sufficiently dimensioned power supply, including its necessary regular maintenance. Alternating backup power sources

UPS

UPS alternating backup power sources ensure uninterruptible power supply for devices during a failure of the electricity grid with alternating voltage. These power sources work on the principle of dual conversion, which not only ensures an uninterrupted supply of power, but simultaneously eliminates faults in the electricity grid, such as voltage fluctuations, voltage sag, hum, voltage spikes, etc.

UPS provide backup power for data centres, production lines, technological processes, power-generation systems in power plants and distribution points, telecommunications systems, medical devices and other applications that need reliable, uninterrupted power for their operation.

Provided UPS are available in input/output configuration: 1-phase/1-phase, 3-phase/1-phase,
1-phase/3-phase, 3-phase/3-phase and backup capacity ranging from 3 kVA to 800 kVA with the possibility of further arrangement in parallel mode for higher backup capacities or more reliable redundant backup.

INVERTERS

Inverters change input direct voltage to alternating voltage and are used in the case when a device using alternating voltage must be powered from a direct-current backup power circuit.

These device work with a full spectrum of input direct voltage from 12 to 372 volts. The output voltage is single-phase, with a sinusoidal waveform. Inverters have the possibility of parallel/redundant mode for increased performance or reliability.

MOTOR-GENERATORS

Motor-generators are devices ensuring the supply of power to devices with alternating voltage in the event of a failure of the electricity grid.

An internal combustion motor creates torque and an alternator in the aggregate of the motor-generator converts kinetic energy into electricity. Motor-generators serve primarily as a long-term power source and can be delivered as standard with output ranging from 3 kVA to 3,000 kVA. Fuels include petrol, diesel and natural gas.

According to the client’s needs and to the legal requirements, motor-generators are delivered in uncovered, non-soundproofed configuration for placement in machine rooms or, if necessary, with cowling and soundproofing for outdoor installation; container structures are used in the case higher capacities.

Direct-current backup power sources

The direct-current backup power sources offered by our company excel thanks to the latest technology, high quality and reliability. Following a consultation with the client, we prepare an individual solution and after analysing the client’s needs with respect to all required parameters and in accordance with the latest legal regulations, we prepare the optimal solution.

RECTIFIERS

Rectifiers are backup sources for powering devices with alternating voltage in the event of a grid-voltage failure.

In the event of a failure of the electricity grid, power is supplied from accumulator batteries, which are permanently connected in parallel to the rectifier’s output. The capacity, configuration and service life of the utilised batteries are selected with respect to the requirements of the application.

A broad assortment of DC backup sources is available with output voltage of 12, 24, 48, 60, 110 or 220 V in the performance range of 5 to 2000 A. possibility of parallel/redundant mode for increased performance or reliability

DC/DC CONVERTORS

DC/DC convertors serve for converting the level of DC voltage to a different level.
Convertors are manufactured for various levels of input (24-372 and 220V) and output (12-110 V) voltage. DC/DC convertors are most commonly used for decentralised 24V power supply in the area of power generation and for powering telecommunications devices with voltage of 48V or 60V.

ACCUMULATOR BATTERIES

A broad range of versions is available – lead AGM, lead gel, lead standard, alkaline and lithium with capacities range from 1Ah to 3,500Ah and with service life of 5-25 years, for the optimum choice of a backup power supply solution in the fields of power generation, telecommunications, UPS and other industrial applications.
